Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series and Needmore Speedway Join to Make Georgia-Florida Speedweeks Debuts in 2025

MILTON, Fla. (August 12, 2024) — The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series is thrilled to announce a partnership with Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., that will see both the track and series make their Georgia-Florida Speedweeks debuts in January 2025.

Located just north of the Florida-Georgia border near Valdosta, Needmore Speedway will host the Florida-based Hunt the Front Series for a pair of $10,000-to-win non-points races Jan. 27-28, 2025. The Monday-Tuesday doubleheader will mark both the track’s and the tour’s first time featuring as part of Georgia-Florida Speedweeks, the annual stretch of racing in January and February that serves as the traditional start to the season for Dirt Late Model racing.

Strategically scheduled between the World of Outlaws Late Model Series season opening weekend at Volusia Speedway Park and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend at All-Tech Raceway, the new Speedweeks addition is poised to attract a strong mix of national and regional of Super Late Model stars to the Chance Smith-promoted Needmore Speedway. Along with providing more racing for fans who travel south for Speedweeks each year, the two races will also be streamed live exclusively on Hunt the Front TV to allow fans from around the world to tune in to the action.

“Georgia-Florida Speedweeks is one of the greatest traditions in dirt track racing and we’re excited for the Hunt the Front Series to be part of that tradition starting in 2025,” said Joshua Joiner, General Manager of the Hunt the Front Series. “We couldn’t think of a better partner to join us in making this step than Chance and his team at Needmore Speedway. With its great racing and its location in southern Georgia, we believe Needmore will be a great addition to the Speedweeks schedule.”

The Speedweeks races will be the first Super Late Model races held at Needmore’s 3/8-mile oval since August 2023, when the Hunt the Front Series made its initial visit to the track. The return of Super Late Models to Needmore Speedway highlights the track’s growing significance in the dirt racing community.

“Since getting the track at the end of 2022, one of my biggest goals has always been to bring Super Late Models back to Needmore,” said Smith. “With this huge opportunity to finally be part of Georgia-Florida Speedweeks, there couldn't be a better opportunity to showcase how great this place can be. It is an honor to be able to team up with the folks at HTF to do it. We couldn’t be more excited for Speedweeks and a big 2025 season.”

Launched in 2023, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series has quickly grown to one of Dirt Late Model racing’s premier regional tours. Known for its lucrative points fund and attractive race payouts, the series is set to pay a regional-series record of more than $150,000 in total points fund money in 2024, with $50,000 going to the series champion.
